Illuminati Neon
True to his punk rock roots Mark Sloper's work serves as a combination of montage, typography, graphic art and neon.
During his long and distinguished career in film, Sloper has directed and produced documentaries on Billy Fury, The Beatles, John Lennon, David Bowie, Punk, Sid Vicious, The Sex Pistols and more.
Sloper created the Illuminati brand to create punk-inspired pictures, emblazoned with familiar lyrics and the language of punk, one of Britain’s last subcultures, which sold to Amy Winehouse, The Sex Pistols, Boy George and more.
Few cultural movements have had as much impact on modern society as punk rock. The story of its influence is mostly a tale of two cities—New York and London.
British punk was the product of a specific time and place and Sloper channels its indefinable essence through his work. The shorthand of rebellion, it’s all there in Sloper’s body of work, channeling not just his own narrative but the chorus and chaos of a generation.
