Bokani Tshidzu was born in Zimbabwe and moved to England as a teenager. Painting has empowered her to overcome the childhood loss of both parents to explore questions of belonging, emotional behaviour patterns and how our social fabric impacts the planet.
She studied Politics with Economics (BSc, 2009) at the University of Bath and Computational Art at Goldsmiths College (MFA, 2020). Bokani was selected in the top ten and won the public vote in the BBC 1 art series, The Big Painting Challenge. Her work has been featured in publications including, the Independent Newspaper and The Telegraph.
